Bilberry/Lannagh Angling Club

Mission Statement of Group:
The mission of the Bilberry/Lannagh Angling Club is to provide a club that youth, older people, men and women can get involved in; a club for all ages and genders.
 
Brief History:
The club was formed in 1992 by a group of local people interested in angling and to promote the local lakes, Bilberry and Lannagh. The very popular McConville Cup Trout Angling Competition takes place here every July and attracts anglers from the 32 counties as well as overseas. An across-border competition takes place in September each year.

Current Goals and Achievements:
Our aim is to keep the lakes available to trout anglers and encourage our junior members to keep up the skill of angling. We have approximately 30 junior anglers and organize two special junior competitions in June and one in July. They love it!
